We gather at a local bar or restaurant for food and beverages and then discusss and plan upcoming events and activities.

We Walk to end Alzheimers
The Alzheimer's Association is the primary philanthropic focus of the Parrot Head organization.. Jimmy Buffett's father was diagnosed with the disease in 1995 and died from it in 2003.
Buffett's offical fan clubs formed a national team that frequently leads and participates in the Walk to End Alzheimers. Fighting the disease is a central pillar of the charitable work of the national organization "Parrot Heads in Paradise."
Corn Republic Parrot Heads serve on the local committee, the club is a local sponsor and members walk, donate and work at the Walk to End Alzheimers in Lincoln every year.

We volunteer for various events and activities in and around Lincoln.
One of our favoriites is helping with spring cleanup at the zoo. This year we also visited with the animals!
Hiking - Biking Trail cleanup
As long as the weather is good and people are using the trail off South 27th Street and Nebraska Parkway, Parrot Heads will be found picking up litter and keeping the area neat!
Hop, SCIP, Jump and Run
We enjoy helping with games and events at this fundraiser for the Community School Intervention Program in Lincoln.

Members have been helping with spring clean up at the zoo since the club began.
